Government Degree College (GDC) Kangan, in collaboration with the Bar Association Kashmir, organized an awareness program under the NashaMukht Bharat Abhiyan to spread awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse. The program was graced by Advocate Altaf Gandarbali, Union President of the Bar Association of Kashmir, who administered the Nasha Mukht pledge to the participants, encouraging them to commit to a drug-free lifestyle. The pledge-taking ceremony was followed by a rally and spirited sloganeering against drug abuse, aiming to sensitize the public and promote a healthy, addiction-free society. Students and staff members of GDC Kangan actively participated in the event, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment towards the cause. The program was organized by the College Wellbeing and Anti-Substance Cell in collaboration with NSS GDC Kangan. The event was conducted successfully under the able guidance and guardianship of the principal, Dr. Sadaf Nazir, whose support and encouragement played a vital role in its execution. The program concluded with a strong message emphasizing collective responsibility in combating substance abuse and building a healthier society.
