The Healthcare Committee of Government Degree College Kangan, in collaboration with Reviva Dental, successfully organized an Oral Health Awareness Camp on 14th May 2026 (Thursday) as part of the observance of Facial Trauma Awareness Month. The programme aimed to spread awareness regarding oral hygiene, facial trauma prevention, and the importance of timely dental care among students and participants. The event commenced with a welcome address delivered by the organizing committee, followed by inspiring words of wisdom from the Principal of GDC Kangan, who highlighted the significance of health awareness initiatives in educational institutions. The programme then proceeded with an introduction to the awareness session by Dr. Nouman Rashid from Reviva Dental. A detailed and informative session on facial trauma awareness, prevention, and first-aid measures was conducted by Dr. Nouman Rashid, Maxillofacial Surgeon, Reviva Dental, Habak, Naseembagh. The session focused on common causes of facial injuries, preventive strategies, emergency response techniques, and the importance of professional dental consultation. One of the major attractions of the programme was the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based dental check-up session, which provided participants with a modern and interactive approach to oral health screening. The initiative was well received by students and attendees, who actively participated and benefited from the expert guidance and awareness activities. The programme reflected the commitment of the Healthcare Committee of GDC Kangan towards promoting health consciousness and preventive healthcare practices among students.
