As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga/Vande Mataram@150 Campaign – Phase III, 2026, a Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan Rally was organized on 13 August 2026 by the NSS Units of Government Degree College (GDC) Kangan in collaboration with the District Administration, Ganderbal. The rally was held in connection with the celebrations commemorating 150 years of Vande Mataram and the 80th Independence Day of the nation. The rally commenced from the premises of Government Degree College Kangan and proceeded towards Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Kangan. NSS volunteers, students and members associated with the organizing institutions participated in the rally with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The participants carried the Tricolour and displayed banners and placards conveying messages against drug abuse and addiction. Slogans promoting a drug-free India, responsible citizenship, patriotism and national unity were raised throughout the route. The rally sought to spread awareness among the public, particularly young people, about the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of making healthy and constructive choices. The event also highlighted the significance of Vande Mataram, which has completed 150 years, as a symbol of India's patriotic and national consciousness. The activity further complemented the spirit of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by encouraging citizens to express their connection with the nation through the national flag and participation in Independence Day celebrations. The objective of the rally was to create awareness about the dangers of drug and substance abuse,  to promote the vision of a Nasha Mukht Bharat (Drug-Free India), to encourage youth to adopt healthy, positive and productive lifestyles and to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram and celebrate the 80th Independence Day. The Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan Rally was conducted successfully and provided an effective platform for spreading the message of a drug-free society, patriotism and responsible citizenship. The enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers and students reflected their commitment towards social causes and national campaigns. The programme concluded with a renewed pledge to contribute towards building a healthier, stronger and Nasha Mukht Bharat, while celebrating the enduring spirit of Vande Mataram and the nation's journey towards its 80th Independence Day.
