As part of the observance of “NashaMukhtSaptah” (Drug-Free Week), the NSS Units organized a screening of an awareness film on 20th June, 2026. The programme was conducted with the objective of educating students and creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and substance addiction.
The event commenced with a brief introduction by the NSS Programme Officers, who highlighted the significance of NashaMukhtSaptah and the need to build a drug-free society. The awareness film focused on the physical, psychological, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse. It also emphasized the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices, seeking timely help, and supporting individuals struggling with addiction.
A large number of NSS volunteers and students attended the screening and watched the film with keen interest. The powerful messages conveyed through real-life examples and motivational content helped participants understand the dangers associated with drug abuse and the importance of staying away from addictive substances.Following the screening, an interactive discussion session was held where students shared their views and reflections on the film. The participants expressed their commitment to spreading awareness among their peers and communities regarding the prevention of drug abuse.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The event successfully achieved its objective of sensitizing students about the menace of substance abuse and reinforcing the message of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The screening enhanced awareness among students regarding the adverse effects of drugs and encouraged them to become ambassadors of the "Say No to Drugs" campaign. The programme contributed positively to the objectives of Nasha Mukht Saptah and promoted social responsibility among NSS volunteers. The programme was done under the patronage of principal prof.
