Mass Pledge Against Drug Abuse to observe “Nasha Mukht Bharat Saptah

To  kickstart the week-long nationwide campaign “Nasha Mukht Saptah” running from 17th June 2026 to 26th June 2026, the NSS Units of Government Degree College Kangan organized a Solemn and impactful Mass Pledge against Drug Abuse on 17 June 2026. The event was held under the overarching national theme, “ Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan-Viksit Bharat ki  Pehchaan”, highlighted that a drug- free society is a foundational pillar for a developed India. The objective of the activity were to raise widespread awareness among students about the Psychological, Social and Physical dangers of substance abuse, to foster a collective community responsibility and personal commitment to reject illicit drugs and to empower youth as ambassadors for a healthier, drugfree lifestyle in alignment with national development goals.

            Following the pledge, interactive discussions were held where NSS Programme Officers and NSS Volunteers held where NSS Programme Officers and NSS volunteers spoke briefly about thr signs of addiction, the importance of mental health support, and the available rehabilitation resources. The activity was done under the patronage of Principal Prof. Sadaf Nazir.
