Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan

A Nasha Mukht (Drug-Free) Awareness Rally was successfully organized by the District Administration Kangan in collaboration with College Wellbeing and Anti-Substance Cell along with NSS units of Government Degree College (GDC) Kangan with the aim of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free society. The event was held on 23 April 2026 11:00 am onwards, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various schools and higher secondary institutions across Kangan. Accompanied by their respective staff members, the students gathered in large numbers at GDC Kangan, which served as the starting point of the rally. Members of the District Administration were also present to support and encourage the initiative. The rally saw an active participation of the Chief Education Officer, Principal GDC Kangan and SDM Kangan, throughout— who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in combating the menace of drug addiction. The GDC Kangan College Wellbeing and Anti-Substance Cell along with NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers played a vital role in organizing and coordinating the event, ensuring discipline and active participation throughout the rally. Following the flag-off, students, staff, and NSS volunteers marched in unison from GDC Kangan to the Kangan Main Market. Participants carried placards and banners displaying impactful messages highlighting the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of leading a drug-free life. Slogans were raised throughout the march, creating awareness among the general public and drawing attention to the cause. The rally concluded at Kangan Main Market, where participants reiterated their commitment to building a drug-free society. The event served as a powerful platform to educate the youth and the community at large about the adverse effects of drugs and the need for preventive measures. Overall, the rally was a meaningful and impactful initiative, reflecting the collective determination of the District Administration, educational institutions, and the community to work together towards a healthier and safer future.
