I welcome you to the Government Degree College Kangan that was established in 2011 to cater the academic needs of students of far flung areas of district Ganderbal. We are currently running Bachelor of Arts programme with General English, Education, Political Science, Sociology, Islamic Studies, Economics, History, Kashmiri, Urdu, Psychology, Music, Math and Environment Science as subjects. The college is on the path of progressive development with almost all the required basic facilities like fully automated Library, Computer Lab/Browsing Centre, Canteen, Gymnasium, Sports equipment required for indoor and outdoor games, besides a 75- bedded under construction girl’s hostel along with highly professional and dedicated faculty. Keeping pace with changing scenario the college provides ICT based teaching- learning facilities.

During Covid-19 pandemic situation when the circumstances did not allow on campus teaching it became very hard to reach out to the students for disseminating important information in absence of a website.

Here I am pleased to inform you that finally this college has its own website with domain name www.gdckangan.edu.in which will help you to remain in constant touch with your alma matter.
